Ready for Fishing
I have been working off and on since February gathering parts and pieces to add to the Delica I bought from Karim @ Silk Road last December. I wanted an automatic boat loader as the Delica is to high to load my 8 foot boat easily. I've examined the different designs in common use to determine the be...

Re: Rock Protection Film
I talked the Auto Protectors today wrt headlight protection. They can cut a separate kit for the headlights alone. The cost would be about $80 plus about $ 20 for install. To clarify how these would work the guy would take measurements from my van and input to his computer. The cuts would be precise...

A slight side track-----
Did you ever fix your BOV or " safety valve". I would think it would be a real nuisance going up hills with all that weight?

Re: Experiences with Silk Road Auto
I bought my Delica from Karim in December. He definitely is a salesman and not a mechanic. He does however have his own guy now ( Abdul ) and my unit was completely serviced, belts fluids etc. just as he said. It is important to check the units carefully. He does disclose any body work done after he...

Rock Protection Film
I just picked up my van from having the windows tinted. The guy also does rock chip protection via computer generated film cuts. Of course the Delica is not in his system but he is willing to make a template if enough people are interested .( He wanted to keep my keys - even after I paid for the tin...

Re: dual fuel tank issue
I think Meanman has the right idea - keep resetting trip meter @ each fill for a few fills. If you've put in 58 l then @ least both tanks are being used. If unsure the trip meter will tell you when to fill.

Re: Speedmeter Clicking
" Right.....you might think I am crazy suggesting this, but the clicking noise might not be the speedo cable? The reason I say this is that I had a very similar noise coming from my dashboard about 4 years ago. I spent weeks trying to find the source of the noise - even driving up & down th...

Re: Replacing blow-off valve?
I read some more and the attached info below makes sense. The first stuff I sent really only applies to gasoline engines which have a throttle valve. Diesels do not. Now I believe that the Blow-Off is simply an overpressure device to limit turbo boost. Now all I need is a solution.

Re: Replacing blow-off valve?
I just increased my turbo pressure this weekend and my Blow-Off valve has started to open on turbo pressure. Seems to be about 13-14 psi. I thought I'd just replace it with a higher value until I started looking @ what it's for. Now I'm confused. It sounds to me like it should operate most times you...

Alignment/Torsion Bar re Index - Kamloops
If anyone in the Kamloops area needs an alignment or want their torsion bars cranked Sportsman Light Truck on Hugh Allen can do it. They do 4 wheel alignment and are 4x4 specialists. They haven't worked on Delica's before but are ready to learn - @ least for drive train and suspension issues.

Re: Pyro and Boost gauge - what kind and where did you mount 'em
The Pod and gauges come from www.glowshift.com as Jessie indicated. The gauge location doesn't bother vision ,unless your very short, you only look out the top half of the windshield.

Re: Pyro and Boost gauge - what kind and where did you mount 'em
After 2 months of research and install options I finally completed my gauge install. The most time consuming part was gauges and gauge location. The gauges I chose were Glow Shift with a black face. I chose the black face to get the Pyro with a 1600 degree span. I installed a volt meter, boost gauge...
