Re: Fighting the black smoke

Hello Sid,

Thanks for sharing. It is good to know I am not alone :-) and you have probably saved me a few $$ for not going into replacing more parts right away...

The questions I have, wil this anyhow impact AirCare inspection ?

Fighting the black smoke

Hello, On my Delica every time I do a cold start it produces a cloud of black smoke. It also does the same thing when I accelerate rapidly. The black smoke goes away once RPMs are steady. Only during acceleration a cloud it produced regardless if engine is cold or warm. Air filter & fuel filters...

missing a gadget above a dashboard

Hi, During last Delica meeting I noticed many people had a tri-purpose device on the dashboard: compass, horizon level and temperature ? I had to remove my dual cup holder that was sitting above the dashboard - it was making constant rattling noise, now I am faced with a hole instead. There is also ...

Re: new member in Vancouver and some questions

So...If front diff is an open differential (and front weells are never locked at the same speed) wouldn't the differential then "handle" (to a good degree) the turns in 4H mode or in 2H with front "wheel locked" light ON ?
(dry paved road is out of the picture of course)

Re: new member in Vancouver and some questions

Thanks again for all the replies and suggestions. I have managed to find a native Japanese speaker and we looked over my maintenance records. According to the papers the car was serviced @ Mitsubishi regularly in order to pass the inspection every 2 years. During last 4 years all the belts, water pu...
