Mud flaps
I was thinking about to get this (second image) mud flaps (or something similar, just not rigid like the original flaps) for my Delica. The original flaps (specially on the back) are crap for offroading, 'cause they are scratching along the ground if go upwards in a steep and short gully. Does someo...

Re: Who wants to teach me mechanical facts about my deli?
Oh yeah! I would be very interested in this too. Maybe someone of the Delica experts here would take a pity on us and show a few basics one day! I ask about that a few weeks ago already.

Welcome! Yep, I would love to see more interior pictures from your van. Was the pop top your job, or did you bought it as it is?

Re: My all-in-one rack idea
This time it took a little bit longer to mock it up, 'cause I try to think more about little details and how it really could work. Still have a bit trouble with the heavy bikes, but maybe instead of using this rack for all three things I also could get the bike rack for the front from mitch . He has...

Re: There's Something Loose back there !!
I took the captains chair out a while ago (built a comfi bed) and the rattle noise was almost gone, but there is still a rattle sound in my Delica. I figured out the back bench makes noise as well, but could find a way to fix it.

Re: Metal fuel can?
http://www.hummerhub.com/Wedco_Jerry_can.html https://www.expeditionexchange.com/wedco/ looks like they are manufactured in Montreal ( TPG Wedco) Thanks Golf Cart. I posted the link to Expedition Exchange already in my last post. They are sold out of yellow and blue jerry cans. Also I want to avoid...

Re: Metal fuel can?
This yellow Diesel-Jerry cans from Wedco would be great, but after a few days of calling/looking around there is no way to get them in Vancouver or order them online. Because I want to paint the can white anyway I'm thinking to buy just the gasoline version and fill it up with diesel. Any legal con...

Re: My all-in-one rack idea
Thanks for all your ideas. Noel you are right into it ey :) Well, another day, a slightly new idea. I did some proper measurements today and Golf Cart was right. The second full spare tire is much bigger than I thought. So there is no way to mount the stuff on the rack as I had it in my first drafts...

Re: Thanksgiving Trip to Okanagan
Hi jrman,
Nice photos. The KVR Myra Canyon Trail is already on my list of things I have to do in BC.
I like your bike rack. Where did you get it from? Would it be strong enough for two heavy downhill bikes?
Cheers

Re: My all-in-one rack idea
Thanks a lot guys for your first input. You are right a hitch as a base is probably not the best solution. I quite like your idea "after oil" as well. Noel - well it just took me a few minutes. It's nothing fancy, but good enough to explain my idea. Usually I get money for the fancy photo ...

No European email-address?
Hi,
I'd like to change my email address from my yahoo account (don't use it anymore) to a web.de (German) account but I get the error message: "The e-mail address you entered is not allowed to be used."
Do you have any restrictions for other than .com email addresses?
Thanks

My all-in-one rack idea
Hi all, I couldn't find a rack which fits my needs yet, so I started drafting my idea of a perfect hitch rack. First of all I made the decision against something on the roof because of underground parking, low branches when offroading, fuel economy and inconvenient for carrying heavy bikes. Second I...

Re: simple hitch update?
I just finished installing one of the maximum overdrive hitches for $380. It's pretty much as described earlier, plus it comes with a receiver and ball. It's very easy to install, bolts right on around the spare. Bolts both to the bumper and to the frame. There are flanges that have to be removed b...

Re: Metal fuel can?
Thanks snelson and after oil for your tips. This plastic cans in tan colour look neat and I would also save weight too.
Do you know why there is a version for gasoline and one for diesel? Do they have different specifications?
