Re: Rebuilding a power steering rack
Wow, most of us struggle to get a rusted power steering line off let alone successfully rebuild a rack and pinion !

Re: Rough, Smokey Starts
Here's a part number for the toyota tip gaskets 11177-64010 which appear to have withstood many, hard miles. Perhaps I'll share a look at them when the nozzles are removed. I've seen it cross referenced with MD0707185 and here we see it in both steel and copper. https://www.stardiesel.com/en/catalog...

can't take it anywhere cold that doesn't have a power outlet near by. I feel your pain. A diesel should still start at -5C without glow plugs I have to challenge you on this RiW. Not all are equal. let alone in great condition. I'll mention that these engines generally are not equipped with cold st...

1993 L300 Pre-Purchase Inspection HELP
Did you buy it? Purchase and sale can take considerable time or go 'snap'. I wonder about the hi idle. Can it not be made to idle down? The story goes that my recent '92 acquisition had the problem of not idling down and that it was due to the turbo seals.

Hiya all, long time no see! I’ve acquired this '92 p34 recently. I'm looking into the claims it was running on (on its own) perhaps due to the turbo. It is oily there. But before tackling the td04 work, I’ve to determine if it’s had damage from hydro-lock and if this is why the starter will not cran...

I bet it was outrageous! Thanks for the idea, TLGF! I hadn't considered pricing the collision coverage when I insured it because I never have done so with my vehicles before. Also figured it couldn't be done on the high risk import. May be when renewing i could tuck it in if not too outlandish a pre...

Holiday greetings, all! I've run into some alders with my L300 exceed and I'm wondering of anyone can offer any suggestions for finding a driver side (right) turn and headlight lenses east of the prairies. I still dream of finding a parts van I've heard about in NB. But I'd be open to ideas that mig...

What I did today
In hot Edmonton it was a good day to mash the bubble gum into the seam above the windshield and rain gutter to get it prepared for a long tow to NB. It's been working great with the re-sealed pump, but still a bit smokey on start-ups. I look forward to installing the pump I built with the cold start...

I have developed a trust in Automotion on 111Ave. In my opinion he know's his delica's (and other diesel imports), the import parts acquisition scene, and has working relationships with delica specialists/importers. (780) 484-9269

Or have I misunderstood the question? Thanks, that was it in part. I was hoping to glean what I may from Tojo's experience. I encountered things like considerable carbon and stubborn seat washers, cleaning and working carefully to keep debris out of the head. I was trying to learn as much as I coul...

Ah, the mysterious "Cold... sensor... thing... IdunnoWhatItIs". Yes, you need one of those. Without the snapped off bit. Interesting that it's from a 4M40. More options! Though it would be neat if the Chamonix had the cold start advance, since they're a bit more common. Hehe. Gotta wonder...

Question for you (et al). How had you handled the job of replacing injectors in the new head? Was this something you farmed out? sorry if I missed it in the thread.

Looks like Pump MD307497 is shown here to include the cold start advance mechanism that acts on the roller ring using coolant to control a wax motor. So it looks like this pump came on the Jasper and or Chamonix editions. Another option would be to acquire one of these pumps. It would be unlucky to ...
