mystery loud sound from front of engine
A few months ago I replaced my waterpump, timing belts, oil seals and tensioners. 500 km later my engine abruptly started to sound louder. I took off the timing belt cover and rocker cover, all seems well. It's currently at a shop, where they have been unable to find a cause for the new sound. They ...

starter fusible link and battery electrical confusion.
I recently melted the connection to the fusible link (6 a and b in photo) that makes the starter work (goes to starter relay? starter solenoid). The fusible link is decrepit so I intend to replace both it and the connector. Can anyone confirm if MB328732 is the correct part, 1mm2. Next, while I was ...

oil leak from oil pump gasket?
So recently I've made a hobby out of changing my timing belt(s). Started with replacing the waterpump because of a failed o-ring, and broken balance belt. I foolishly elected NOT to replace the oil seals at that time. I was not convinced I could put it all back together so I didn't want to keep taki...

Replacing lower radiator hose - newbie questions
Ok, so my lower rad hose has a slow leak. My mechanical experience is pretty limited, but replacing hoses (and draining coolant etc) sounds like something I can tackle. First question - whats the best way to get at the thing?

New Delica Owner Victoria BC
Hi everyone, I bought and 1994 L300 almost a year ago. Absolutely adore it! Runs great, but has suffered from a lack of regular maintenance over the years, I have been fixing/having this fixed bit by bit. At present she is called the S.S K9, but I have a custom paint job in mind that might lead to a...
