Another hard to start in cold temperature question.

I've used an adjustable pipe wrench, and the filter's supposed to have a new o ring. I'd go buy a Wix 33128 and keep the OEM for a emergency spare or return it. That water separator has been the biggest source of rough running on my van so far. I had the little o ring in the spigot on the bottom go ...

Converting from Automatic to Manual: Manual gearbox rebuild

Thanks for the info GBNZ. I'm going to look into this asap. So the rework of the needle roller bearing and the sleeve and all that can be done with the trans in the van? Do the KM145 and the V5M21 share the same housing? just different ratios in the case? One could be swapped for the other? not that...

Converting from Automatic to Manual

Killer post. Very educational and yet paranoia inducing at the same time :-( . Can the nut work itself loose even if you don't use 5th? Our van has started to make a low hum/rumble from the rear end but only in 5th on the hwy. The only way to check for sure is to remove the t-case?

Sad news Joe. Any hope of a warranted repair for premature failure?

Hyundai D4BF engine install

That's some inspiring stuff GBNZ :-D . It's crazy to see how much those old motor mounts had compressed. How long do think this swap has taken you from start to finish?

Mitsubishi 75w-85 Oil (Diaqueen)

anybody have a pic of the LSD decal found in the van? I'm pretty sure my '88 doesn't have one but i'm curious as to what it looks like. Non-LSD and would use the same oil in the transfer as the Trans right?

Looks great Growler. You had me laughing at the matte black red-neck thing. I bet that van is going to feel like a rocketship with the new engine in it.

Crankshaft, I can't tell you if it's right or not but I'm in the same boat as you and will need to do this soon. I'm interested to see if this is the right stuff. Was it expensive?

They have an option for a rubberized coating and some pretty neat 45 degree angle fittings. I like B335-2, an adjustable hinge.

I don't know of any roof-rack specific product that'll do what you want but have you thought about using B-line to build a bar off of the back roof-rack at a 45 degree angle to give you the height you need to clear the canoe?

Cool find JavaBob. I wonder if that doll could fetch you a couple of bucks off Ebay? It would make for an interesting Mascot for the van though :-), unless you have children then not so much.

New L300 (87') Delica owner in Seattle!

Hello MunkeyHouse! Congrats on a sweet van :-) It's almost identical to my '88. Auto or standard? You're in a better spot of the country to find a mechanic than a lot of us in the States, I can't name any off the top of my head but I'm sure someone knows of at least one. I feel though, that the best...
