Re: Who has a second battery installed?

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Seems like I have to make a username for delica club forum. Been popping up when I google delica stuff and need a username to access all that juicy data.

Re: Who has a second battery installed?

Awesome. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Did you find a nice, out of the way spot to install the second battery? I've only had my Delica about a week now so I'm hoping to install it in a way that I won't have to mess with it in the future or hinder any future mods. I know that might be tough ...

Who has a second battery installed?

Looking at adding a second battery for leisure use. Nothing crazy. My friend has one in his Westy that he installed himself. Seems like a pretty pro setup so I'd like to try my hand. His advice to me was to ask a forum so here I am. Where did you put your battery? What type of system did you do? Whe...

Re: Camper pop top

Wow. He did some serious work. Curious if, at the end of it all, given the chance, would he do that all again? I know a lot of people who put a lot of work into something like that only to say, never. I saw a company in California who does custom pop tops but at the price they are, I could get anoth...

Key cutting and remote starter in L400

Hey everyone. Couple questions. I have a 2001 Spacegear and I've been told I can only cut a key that will work with the doors but not the ignition because it is chipped. I'm curious if there is a way to inexpensively cut an ignition key because I plan to install a remote starter and the key fab for ...

Re: Camper pop top

I'd be interested for sure. Been doing some reading about doing it myself and seems like an easy enough thing to do if there was a kit made. Someone could be sitting on a gold mine.

Re: Unofficially joined the club!

Wow. How cool is that. Does the metal rack double as a surface to sleep on or is it strictly for storage? I haven't decided how permanent I want to make any of my mods for camping. I don't want to lose all my seats in case I ever have passengers. But I also don't want to mess around with taking thin...

Unofficially joined the club!

Hey everyone. I posted in April about wanting a Delica. Yesterday, I pulled the trigger. Got myself a nice little 2001 Chamonix. She just has to take a little boat ride across the Pacific before its officially mine here in the East Kootenays. I can't say how excited I am! What were some of the first...

Re: Hello from the East Kootenays. Not an owner yet but hoping you can all convince me it's a good idea!

This is all good info. I should stress I am not looking to get something as good on gas as my Cruze. That thing could go forever on a small tank. Not worth keeping it around for long hauls the couple times a year I do them though. Does the Delica drink the gas like a frat boy at beer pong or does it...

Re: Hello from the East Kootenays. Not an owner yet but hoping you can all convince me it's a good idea!

Thanks for the reply. I am probably leaning towards a gas engine. I am also pretty mechanically inclined. I'm not afraid to do a little work myself so long as I'm not working on a breakdown every weekend. I don't have a garage, more of just a grass spot beside my house but have a mechanic friend who...

Hello from the East Kootenays. Not an owner yet but hoping you can all convince me it's a good idea!

Hey everyone. Just a quick introduction to the club. Tried Reddit and was pointed in this direction. I'm in the East Kootenays and giving serious consideration to an L400 but doing my research and would consider another model if it was just right. But curious of a few things: How far have you guys p...
