Thank You Andy
That is what it was, both nuts were loose causing movement in the mechanisim resulting in the annoying noise.
No seizing issues with the splines. Fixed up good as new in 15 minutes. Let it rain.

Hello Sid here, It has been a long time since I have posted. Just happily driving my L300 for the past 2.5 years. Best vehicle I ever owned. I do have an issue with my wipers though. there is a clicking noise coming from behind the sheet metal just below the windscreen when my wipers are on, which i...

funny how a thread on a/c can switch to fishing, but thats the beauty of fishing, you can talk about it any time. i am headed to hihium lake tomorrow for 4 days... should be glorious, and a big rainbow or two wont be too hard to take. i will give the recap when i return next week.

Re: Stupid Oil Question
actually most synthetics will mix just fine with dino oil, it makes no sense to mix syth with regular on purpose, but if you are low on the dipstick and you are running synth, then topping up with regular oil wont hurt anything if thats all you got. you would want to change the oil back to one grade...

Re: slow acceleration, no power on hills
one thing you could check is maybe your linkage from the turbo to the watsegate has become disconnected so you are basically turbo-less which i have seen happen. easy to check lie on your back and shine a light up to the turbo side of the engine and give it a visual.
maybe, and its an easy fix.

set of original alloy rims (4) and tires
I was keeping them but they may as well get used. been stored in wheel boxes for a year now. they are in 9 out of 10 condition. $375.00 I also have some brand new LT 235/75R 15 Hankook RF04 tires unmounted, it would be a perfect combination. would sell those for $400.00. If you wanted the set $750.0...

Re: How long should brakes last?
My van did the same, it would make a rough grinding kind of sound and i had just re done the brakes, fresh fiuid, new pads and new rotors, Pulled the fronts to check and the pads are like over 90% still. Seems that this problem occured when the braking system is stressed ie very hot and when the pad...

Re: Speedmeter Clicking
Sometimes this forum amazes me. I have had several Delicas and never has any of them made the noise that mine is/ was making . I have been driving this one for over 1 year and as of 2 weeks ago it started making this super annoying noise, starting at 55 km/h and it was right behind my speedo. Not un...
