So I put about 500km on the black pearl since I did the head and timing chain and it started leaking oil all over. I pulled it all apart and to my horror there is a crack in the timing chain cover right above the crank seal. So dose anyone know where to get a new cover? And what would cause this?

Yea I was hoping to keep all of that oil from making a mess of the intake but that might be the easiest

So I put as much steel wool into the catch can as would fit but it still let's out a Smokey vapor. The only problem is when idling the vapor gets sucked into the intake duct for the heater and the inside smells like oil. Yes there is a filter on the vent it's a sealed unit so I won't be able to put anything in side. I was just worried that it might be bad rings but I figure some smoke would be normal on these diesels.

I got it from tig weld 4 u I am not sure if there is anything like that inside it.

I put a vented oil catch can on the black pearl and noticed smoke coming out of the filter. Is that normal or is there an acceptable amount?
