Trying to get prepared for ongoing maintenance of our L400 and thought I would look into the most frequently replaced parts. So I thought I would ask you all what are the most regularly or frequently replaced parts on your Delicas - especially from 100,000 to 200,000 km.
Thanks,
Colin

Re: Delica spring fever - custom roof racks
Thanks for the detailed response, Christine. That is some valuable info for sure and it sounds like you've tested things thoroughly. Have been in touch with Mephisto to talk further. We have a '94 L400 Exceed high/crystal roof, and short wheel base. I'll include more info about our van in my member ...

Delica spring fever - custom roof racks
Hey All, Back with more questions from my Delica spring fever. We need a roof rack (looking for a long, open cargo carrier type), bars and a ladder for Yoshi (our L400). So far it seems that Terzo ladders are pretty hard to come by, as well as sturdy racks and bars. I already talked to Noel from env...

seeking tips for installing l400 dash kit
We recently put a new stereo in our L400, and the console dash piece disintegrated when I removed it (was cracked quite a bit already). I'm getting a new one soon enough and am wondering if anyone has any tips to provide for installing it, so I can avoid breaking the new one.
Thanks,
Colin

Just about to put a set of Geolandar A/T S on my rig for the summer. Looks like a good all around tire.

Timing chain replacement
Hi All, I've gone into high gear with getting our L400 ready for summer road trips and am now wondering if the timing chain might need to be replaced. I read on the thread about maintenance that the timing chain should be done at 80,000 km? Our Deli is now at 116,000 km. The dealer I bought it from ...

l400 fuel tank?
Hey,
Just found out the top of our fuel tank has a hole in it from rust - just six months after we bought our van. Anyone know if replacement tanks for L400s are available? Are then easy or hard to come by?
Thanks,
Colin

Where/how to get a hitch for an L400
Anyone know if you can get a pre-made hitch to fit an L400 or do you have to get it made custom. A shop that installs hitches I contacted is going to see if a Curt with a universal fit will work. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Colin

Re: Rejuvenate an L400 front sunroof seal
This is a tip i can really use right now. One question though. How did you get the string to stay in place on the sunroof?
Thanks,
Colin

filling washer fluid
I know there are threads out there on this already, but I can't find anything specific to the L400 on where the washer fluid reservoir is located and how to access it. I'm out and it needs to be filled desperately.

Re: 4 Wheel Drive
Odd this should come up right now. I've tried a couple times recently to shift my L400 into 4H while driving at about 60 kph, but it wouldn't go. I just got some grinding. Otherwise it shifts into 4h fine. Is there a top speed for shifting or something like that?
