Re: Torque Converter Issue

Have had a similar issue in my L400 for a while now. After a bunch of investigations, I'm pretty sure it's the throttle position sensor that needs to be replaced. It's a pretty common issue, and you may need to look around to find one that's not part of the injection pump assembly. I had my kickdown...

Re: Does anyone know what time CVI opens?

Thanks for the response and the offer, Christine. I was only waiting there for just over an hour and it's my own fault for not asking what time they open when I made my appointment. The service was as great as I expected, based on what I've read on the forum. Butch walked me through the maintenance ...

Re: Kelowna mechanic?

Try Mustang Connection/JCruisers, just north of Vernon in Armstrong. They sell and service Delis and all kinds of imports.

Re: L400 throttle position sensor

Thanks Cregan! Will look into it. And also thanks for getting those Bilstein part numbers for me. I haven't got them yet because I keep running into other stuff that needs to get done asap.

L400 throttle position sensor

I need to replace the throttle position sensor in my L400 and so far I've only been able to find them as part of the injection pump assembly. Does anyone know if it's possible to find the throttle position sensor part on its own? IP assembly is crazy expensive!

No worries, Cregan. I've been neglecting my posts recently so it took me a while to reply.

final word on bilsteins?

I've been looking at a shock upgrade lately and have been doing some reading on here about that. So far it seems the Bilstein HD is the way to go, in terms of cost/performance. But from the various posts I've read on here, I haven't been able to figure out if the Bilsteins will fit on a stock height...

Good camping spot in Squamish/Whistler/Pemberton area?

Heading down to the coast in early July for a bit and hoping to do some camping. Looking for recommendations for a good rec site/camping spot in the Squamish/Whistler/Pemberton area. Preferably somewhere quiet with a nice view and good for a tent.

Thanks,

Colin

WVO in the Kootenays

Wondering if anyone is filtering WVO in the Nelson/West Kootenay area? I'd like to pick some up.

WVO without conversion

Wondering how much veg oil you can safely mix in with your diesel without a conversion?

Thanks,

Colin

Re: L400 bed + shelves

This is a great design, Rik. Thinking about adapting it for a rear storage cabinet type thing with a space in the middle for our dogs. Currently they get about 1/3 of the van's interior space, and we can't have that.

Re: Deli pic

Thanks Mat. Still a pretty basic rig with lots of work to go - roof rack/basket, ladder, cupboards for the back, etc. But I'm happy to have a new set of Geolandars, a hitch and a new dash kit on it!
