Hey Stever,
I didn't end up going, as I ran out of money after my trip to CVI. I finally ended up getting a new exhaust put on at Coombs in May for $325!

Wiring around battery
I took out my battery today to change my fuel filter for the first time (success!), and while putting it back I noticed that there are a bunch of small wires just kind of hanging around the battery, including what I believe is an ignition module just kind of dangling underneath the intercooler. I'm ...

Re: Delicas in the Kootenays
Hey Mike, Noticed you joined the group. That's great! To answer your questions, I have only had my van into Coombs once, just recently when I took a trip to the Island with my family. But i was really happy with the service they provided, and I most often order my parts from there too. But I would p...

Re: Delicas in the Kootenays
Hey mgrady, Fear not, it IS possible to live in the Koots and own a Delica. In terms of mechanics, I used to have a good one in Castlegar but he's no longer in business. Downtown Auto in Nelson works on Delicas, but my experiences with them have not been so good - and I've heard the same from others...

Re: Nelson Delica Owners
Hey Naterade, I'm in the Nelson area. Afraid I can't recommend a mechanic right now, as I'm currently looking for a new one myself. I did recently start up a Facebook page for Kootenay Delica owners to connect - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1477049985920117/ Always happy to help out or set up a m...

Fuel Filter Part Number
Hey Everyone,
I got a Napa Gold filter a while back, and need another one but have now lost the part number. Does anyone have the fuel filter part number for Napa? Lordco has it listed, but they only have Fram and I'm not willing to buy one of those.
Thanks,
Colin

Calling all Kootenay Delica owners!
Hey Kootenay folk (and anyone else interested!) I just started up a Facebook page for Kootenay Delica owners that I hope will help us connect, share resources, photos, etc. I've run into a lot of other Deli owners in the area and it can be tough finding parts, mechanics, etc. out here in the hinterl...

Re: Where to get a muffler replaced on the Lower Mainland
Thanks for tip. I phone Hoeglers and they have some availability when I'm there. I'm definitely interested in the 2.5" with Magna Flow and he quoted me the same, about $350. But I forgot to mention it's an L400. I wonder if that would make a difference. And does anyone happen to know if there a...

OK, got it. Went back and reviewed old threads and it's the Montero V6 3.0L. Got the calipers ordered up and they should be here tomorrow morning! Thanks!

Re: L400 calipers from Lordco or Napa?
Lordco is telling me there are two models in their computer for the Montero, 43LS and 43SR.Napa says there is a 3.0L and a 3.5 and the calipers for each are different. Any thoughts?

Where to get a muffler replaced on the Lower Mainland
Hey again everyone, The guts are gone out of my muffler but the pipe is still good. Yet all I can find to replace it with stock is a $400+ muffler assembly which just seems like too much and costs even more to have shipped to the Interior. I'm coming down to Vancouver next month and am hoping to get...

L400 calipers from Lordco or Napa?
Hey, I had a front caliper (only just over a year old :o ) seize on me right before the weekend and a planned camping trip. I live in the Kootenays so parts from the lower mainland are days away. Hoping I can get some couriered from Mustang in Armstrong but also want to see if it's possible to get s...

Re: a/t light flickering when hot/idling
Thanks for taking the time to post this response Big-Bird! I don't think I have the mechanical capability to do this myself, but I'll mention it to my mechanic the next time I'm in and see if he can track down the problem
Best,
Colin

a/t light flickering when hot/idling
Hey everyone, Recently I've noticed that sometimes (not always) the a/t light will flicker when the van is hot and idling, I thought it might be a cooling system issue like a failing water pump or something, so I took it to my mechanic who looked it over, pressure tested the cooling system and said ...
