Optima Battery not so optimal

My optima was nearly three years old last week and losing charge quickly if headlights were left on. When it was new, it seemed i could leave headlights on for hours and still start. I got a brand new one under warranty. LEft my headlights on for about an hour and the battery drained. L300, single O...

Re: How do I find a short?

As far as I know, this is a Delica mystery that has never been solved. Nothing on the forum to say.
It was discussed in this thread two years ago

Re: Fuse able Link - posted picture now

yes it dies with brittle old age, just cut the wires back and install an inline fuse (I can go look at mine for the correct fuse rating) do with with battery disconnected --- Christine. Greetings Christine! What is the amperage of the inline fuse you installed in place of the floppy fusible wire? Ari

Re: How do I find a short?

I am a very lucky man. I dug up a replacement link that is from my parts van that I was sure was a burned one from my van, but its a good one. The 30a just isn't enough for that circuit. Rolling again. I wonder how to test the fuseable link to get the amperage?

Re: How do I find a short?

I'll go back in this morning and make sure no cables are shorting, but it doesn't appear as if any are. Maybe I'll eventually install a breaker, but if I cant get it locally (Powell River), I can't wait for one to come from far away. As for amp rating for the fuse: unknown. I searched the forum and ...

How do I find a short?

One of the fusible lines blew this morning. It's one of the wires from the harness to a connector behind the battery. I replaced it with a 30A inline fuse. I have been fiddling with my WVO system, and had the battery cables and connectors all off then back on again. Is there any process for finding ...

Custom L300 Aluminum WVO Tank For Sale

I had this ~70L tank made for a guy who never bought it. My cost was $400, selling for the same plus shipping. It bolts directly into the holes for rear sway bar bolts, but bolt holes must be drilled. There are four threaded fittings for hoses (pickup, return, vent, drain, or what have you) and one ...

L400 Series Two Reference?

Greetings,
I recently imported an L400 Series 2, to sell. Is there information here or on the web that describes what's upgraded or improved or otherwise different about this mode?
Thanks
Ari

Butch and CVI may have the biggest hearts.

Last summer on the first day of a 8000km road trip I blew the motor in my L300 on the upper levels highway coming out of Horseshoe bay, headed for summer Phish tour, California, Colorado Rockies and points in between. I have never been to CVI, never bought a part from CVI, never had a repair at CVI,...
