Re: What if there was a JDM publication from Canada?

Big-Bird, maybe you/we could put together a panel of interested and/or qualified people to refine the idea. I'm in if/when. Eyes wide open all the way!

Re: What if there was a JDM publication from Canada?

As a former journalist I have watched the ongoing demise of dead-tree media with nostalgia and resignation. Online media is not just the future, it is the present. It is more agile, interactive and interesting. Sure, it takes coding chops, but that's what it you need these days. Content is not so di...

Re: Sightings Abroad

That's an awesome red L300. But I saw the blue one (I think it was), a couple of times, parked down by the Night Market. Nice shot from Yangon. Great park.

Sightings Abroad

Our deli is enduring the Canadian winter alone while we are knocking about SE Asia for a few months. Only saw one L300 in Thailand (Chiang Mai). We are currently in Myanmar (old Burma). The place is crawling with Pajeros. We saw maybe three L300s, and only two L400s (both within minutes of leaving t...

Thanks to Butch and crew for putting this together (and feeding us!) It was great fun seeing other rigs, and putting some faces and names together. And a special thanks to Christine and Jay for putting us up in style at the TardisDeli Motel.

Hi Christine, thanks for the offer. I believe we'll take you up on it! We plan on coming over Friday afternoon, getting in late afternoon/early evening. Got directions?

We're planning to make the trek from Penticton. Anyone else from the Okanagan coming?

Re: Mystery Wiring

Thanks Falco. If the wire that has been cut goes to the flux capacitor, maybe that explains why it stalls every time I try to shift into warp drive. :-D

Re: Mystery Wiring

Pretty much everything works, except the rear speakers. Dash lights are dim. But those issues are probably unrelated. Maybe someday I'll just have to trace the wires to see where they go.

Mystery Wiring

I'm still getting acquainted with the new Deli. I've been able to find answers to most questions here, but I've found some wiring that I can't figure out. Between the front seats, right behind the shifter, there are a couple connectors, and a black wire that has been cut which looks like a normal tw...

Re: Decal removal

When it works, the heat gun is probably the easiest solution. But I had some decals that would not come off with the heat gun. The rubber wheel in a drill-chuck did the trick. Got it from Lordco for about $12 or so. The mandrel comes separately, so be sure to get that too.

Re: New in the Okanagan

It would be great to see Stretch over here this summer (or whatever we're having instead of summer). That would certainly cause a stir. Psilosin, I've been looking forward to meeting you. If there are only a handful of us here it shouldn't be difficult to get together.

New in the Okanagan

Greetings from Kaleden (just south of Penticton). We've had our Deli almost three weeks now. Is it too soon to fall in love? It's a silver '95 SWB. Thanks to Butch at CVI who told us Stephanie was selling hers. As we expected, it is in great shape and we haven't found any issues. I'll be building a ...

Re: July Oregon Road Trip

I'll be heading down from the Okanagan to the Oregon Country Fair near Eugene probably the 10th of July. I used to live in Oregon (Ashland) and can assure you that there are areas all over the state well worth seeing. The coast, of course, is spectacular. Crater Lake is sublime and a little surreal....
