Drivers ages...

Hi,

So I'm very interested in finding out what the age range of Delica owners is. If you could post your age or the year / month you were born in and some information about your vehicle that would be great. If you don't drive a Delica feel free to make a note of that and post your vehicle and age as well.
I will also add a poll to this so that we can find out what percentage of the Delica drivers are in certain age categories.
Thanks for your input!

Nick

So I'll start this off...

I drive a 1991 L300 Super Exceed with most of the added options and some minor upgrades / changes made. 8-)

Not sold on the Tree upgrade...sure smells nice but you lose camping/cargo space

My Delica was born in 1989 I am way older then that.

Born March 1948. Have two very young children (that's why I call myself Luckydad).
L400 Royal Exceed, blue and I call it the Blue Traveler. Hoping to do much traveling with it.

You know, I gotta agree with Thedjjack about the tree... you know that they now have little paper ones that hang off the rear view mirror and smell like a pine forest? Technology these days, I tell ya ~ it keeps getting smaller and smaller.

Falco.

Hey Nick,
Is this just curiosity or is there something behind this?
I'm in my 40's. Had a 92 L300 P25, Blue over silver for about 3 years - sold it to a wonderful gal who lives in Canmore. In a few days I will have a loaded white 95 L400 Exceed with Crystallite - must've been a good boy this year 'cause Santa is being extra good to me. :-D

Here goes, I am still Delica-less, :-( I was born in August of 1985, which makes me 25. 8-) I drive a 1991 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo, which now has a broken driver's seat propped up with a board
I also occasionally drive a 2003 Ford Windsuck  (I hate the thing, really) or a 1977 Chevrolet Impala 350/TH400 (which is in the shop right now in need of a trans)
Sorry if I ramble on a lot... :!:
I love my Toronado, & would rather drive it than Mum's minivan!

I drive a 1993 L300 White Crystallite Super Exceed with a few options which include LSD, Hot/Cold box (holds all my electronic chargers/wires...very handy :-D ), factory skid plate, and our camping storage drawer system that we made this past spring before our road trip to Maine (delicat copy, but better  ).

http://www.delica.ca/forum/drawer-syste ... -8347.html

I was born in 1981, which means i'll have my big 3.0 in January. My wife and I are originally from Ontario, and lived in North Vancouver from May 2007, to August 2009. We're back living in London, ON and I'm back at school and i'm currently taking Medical Radiation Technology (MRT). I will pursue MRI imaging once i'm finished with MRT and hope to someday work for the imaging clinic that works with the Vancouver Canucks (huge fan).

I spent the entire day driving around with the tree in the back trying to figure out how to get it out. I was in a hurrey to get to work and stuffed the thing in not taking note of the way the branches were oriented. It took 3 people and a lot of cursing to get the thing out without damaging the cl shaes or ripping the seat covers.

It's mainly just for curiosity sake. I believe Adrock had one when he was 20 but I don't know of too many younger people who own them (I'm guessing because of the expense) I also find it very useful to reach out and make new friends and contacts. 8-)

Thanks for all the updates, they're very interesting! :-)

Okay... cool! Just thought I'd ask because of security issues in this day and age. So easy to get one's full name and birthdate then before you know it... :o Call me paranoid.
What I do find on this site is that there is a very high number of very friendly people and that combined with the common interest of Delicas in whatever capacity draws people of all ages together. I helped organize an off-road outing for club members here in Calgary and a lot of us had never met before that day. We had a blast and everyone wanted to do it again - and we will. I do agree tho... haven't met too many younger owners... a few, but not many. It's interesting because the cost is about the same as buying a Yota mudder... maybe that's the difference... agressive mudding versus slow-and-steady expedition-type off-roading - just guessing... :-D In the end it doesn't matter... if you own a Delica, you fit in whether you are 20 or 80 8-)

Probably not since you don't have an NHL team :-D

I'm 35, no Delica yet. My wife has promised to up my allowance in the new year so I can get one! Currently drive a 2004 PT Crudder, and a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon with a blown motor.

When I was 15, Star Wars Episode IV was released in theaters. Hence the name of my 93 Exceed. I use my Delica as a camper and drive around town on Saturdays vehicle.
