I have found a brilliant way to solve some of the wet foot issues that I (all of us) have been having.

I was going to pull both panels and dive into the silicone tub to fix this but then as I was crawling around under the dash for other reasons I noticed some drips. The center plastic cover with the Mitsubishi symbol on it is plugged directly onto the front panel with little rubber/plastic plugs. These plugs are clearly visible from under the dash and were clearly visibly worn or broken letting in a lot of rain water. I gently pried off this panel with a long, thin, flat prybar and siliconed each plug. I then popped the panel back into place and have never had a wet floor since.

I am very happy that I didn't have to remove the other panels or silicone anything else.

I hope this tidbit of info can help other rubber booted drivers.

Thanks. Good investigation. All i know is i have a ton of water dripping in from somewhere . The black cover that is in front of the passengers feet has water drips when it rains.....so this is a possible cause , apart from the usual things people do.

Hey Fishslapper, I recommend globs of clear silicone on the front edge of your rain gutter, where it tapers away at the front of your vehicle, put a large loonie size blob...it has worked for all the deli's at the meetups. Cheers, Christine.

If you use a toonie-sized blob, does it stay twice as dry?

Moving to a desert (or Alberta) would probably cure the wet feet problem too!

I wish! we got snowed and rained on here for the last 4 days. My carpets are drenched.

Okay, so I exaggerated. Worked radio communications for a car rally on the weekend, and S of Calgary there was a foot of snow on the ground, and W of Calgary it was only 8". Calgary only got an inch or two. Hey it ain't June yet!

Argg. I have left sunny dry Calgary for the coast. It has been raining almost everyday and my previously dry floor is now soaked. Christine showed me the location at the top of the front window where the rain gutter meets the windows. We noticed several hairline cracks on both sides and a tiny bit of rust starting to form. So it off to Cambodian Tire for the silicone fix. So we will see what that will do. Maybe the silicone will cure in the rain.

That is exactly the fix that solved my wet floor problem in my L300, once I siliconed those top corners everything was good from then on.
