Hey
Anyone out there in the 6 ft 3 range driving a low-roof delica? I'm looking at a nice one, but don't want to be scraping the roof while I drive...
Thanks!

Thanks for the offer, but I'm over in Bamfield on the West coast of the island. we may be over there in a few weeks to check out a white Deli from JDM, in which case I'd be happy to have the chance to meet...
Cheers

hey, i'm 6'4", with a low roof. it's tight, but not uncomfortable at all. you'd probably fit just fine. and the taller you are, the easier it is to get in!

I am 6'2" tall and find the low roof to rub every now and then (depends how big the pothole is !!!!) My shop is just over in Coombs and if you wanted to take a ride over to road test one we have low roof , high roof and lifted vans in stock . You can reach me (250)954-2157 or

I'm 6'2" and have a high roof deli, so the roof height isn't a problem, what I DO find though is that when I get to a traffic light I find myself leaning over the steering wheel to look under the roof to see the light... otherwise no issues with being tall...

Nick our sales man is 6ft 5' and around 110kgs and he doesn't have a problem in either, he finds the deli suits him as he can step into the vehicle, rather than stepping down into a car.
the only point he notes is moving in the back of a low roof is a little tougher than a high roof as you would expect but once seated no issues.
Cheers

I was wearing a hard hat (because I had just bought it and put it on my head rather than carrying it to the car. It was all good until i stuck my head out the window and hit it on the door frame. added to inches and im 5'11, but unless you are severely disproportioned i think that would be the equivalent of at least a 6'3 person. and it was only the window, and barely.

I'm only 5'9" and I find myself ducking to see stop lights if I'm stopped in front. I did have a 6" passenger recently who said he couldn't see very well because of the frame above the windshield, and he reclined the passenger seat quite a bit to see better. I suspect that the front seats were likely designed for an average Japanese person, which probably translates to a shorter figure than me.

i'm 6'3" 300 lbs and i fit into the low roof "okay" but the high roof is marginally better but not much due to the sunroof.

that's the problem, I'd love a kei sports car of some form... but I'd never risk buying one without sitting in one first, I'm too tall for that, I can't fit in most domestic sports cars, let alone one designed for someone shorter... The delica I was willing to risk though...

I'm 6'2" and fit in a low roof just fine. Lights are a bit fun - have to find the low mounted one so you know when to go, and a high roof wouldn't help there because the window comes to the same line.
I'm thinking about installing a camera on the left side mirror so that I can see around traffic while turning left, but that might also make high-mounted traffic lights visible too... I noticed Costco sells a wireless 'back-up' camera and screen for under $100... might try that one out.
