this led daytime running light is almost same as the Audi R8 you see in the headlight using this led.

so now no more of worrying the headliight switch get burn cause by installling day time running light module as most of few delica owner encounter this type of problem. almost no power coming out as this is led. meaning less volts . not consuming much power, compare to a regular day time running light module.
this will solve your problem. tested & works good.
it pass compliance for provincial inspection as my professional provincial vehicle inspector See & pass this no problem. very bright & visible at night time.

hi, you can mount it beside the front bullbar beside the front plastic cover & bumper.
I will try later which way to go.
the rules is that this bright led DRL light should be visible front the front to pass inspection this is what my inspector told me. like what you see on the newer audi R8 which is nice & neat to upgrade & it has e-code mark on it.
will post you later some modification:

Audi look, without the Audi price? I'm getting one.
How bright are they. Can you post a photo taken it daylight from a distance? Power consumption or lumens?
I picked up some very nice under-kitchen-counter LED lights at Ikea I was hoping to use as DRLs. They looked excellent, but from 100 feet away in daylight they were invisible. So I ended up using plan B, namely some small fog lights. but I'd still prefer LEDs.

Do these mount well on a L400? Looks like I might need a pair.

From the looks of it, it should mount just fine. They look surface mount. The problem I can see, both for L300 and L400, is that it looks like they need a vertical surface that faces forward. Most of the front of the vans is not vertical, and faces slightly to the sides.
It all depends on how wide a field of view they have. I've noticed that lots of new vehicles have LED taillights, and are very directional straight back. Thirty degrees to the side, and you can't see the lights. I blame both government and manufacturers -- the law requires they be visible from behind, saying nothing about to the sides. And the manufacturers only meet the law, instead of doing what is safe. Hence the all-red taillights, instead of red and amber.
Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now.

hi, here is the picture of this LED with a Distance of almost 70Feet at night:its draw less current watts to your battery compare to the existing DRL module which produce full power of headlight & high wattage to your light. which draw more power than this low wattage LED DRL;this Led DRL has been using in europe for quite a while now & the result is good. no complaine at all.
very bright indeed, no need to worry this Problem for L300 headlight switch that cause burning the module of the Switch which cost you more & expensive. for a reasonable price. you can get this bright White Super white LED DRL & install to your Delica either L300 or L400 , it has E-code mark on it, legal to used as DRL according to My Professional Provincial inspector.
it works same as the newer Audi R8 sports car headlight.
Pls call me if need of this one : 604-247-2111/ 604-720-6144

Which lights are the LEDs?
Now, how about 2 more photos, both the same setup and distance on a sunny day, but with only the DRLs on. One photo exactly the same setup, the other with the Delica turned 45 degrees to the side. That will be the definitive demonstration. Sorry to be a crank, but without seeing them in person I don't want to commit. Oh, and how about a closeup of how they are mounted.
I don't just want DRLs that that are legal, I want ones that on-coming traffic will actually see me from a long ways off. That is the reason the law was created in the first place.

hi, erebus,
the LED DRL mounted is the 4 LED DRL, 2 mounted on top of the middle plastic for the bumper. th e 2 LED DRL, is located under the front turn signal. i do install 4 DRL LED on it so anybody could choose which position they like.
as per brightness in sunny days i tried but the light reflection thru camera cannot see.
the brightness is like LED DRL from Audi, same brightness. thats why they have e-code compliance certificate on it that they used this in uerope right now as a adds on.
Cheers;
