Just flipped my van

I just rolled my van on the Nanaimo Parkway this afternoon while hauling trailer and some house siding. The general consensus form the scene was that it was write off. I just filled with ICBC online so this isn't for sure, but it looks like I'll be in the market for a new van in the next few weeks :-( Any good leads on an L300?

OH NO!! My heart goes out to you man - really so sorry to hear it! Good no one was hurt anyway, but still really sad... Glad you are keen to get another though and that there was no mention of L-400's... - hey a fresh start. Keep us posted...

glad to here you are ok and walked away, sorry to hear about the van, are you going to have a ceremony for the van if it is a right-off?

Check out www.comoxvalleydelica.com He ( Benn ) has a few ready to sell. Benn is located in Cumberland. He can set you up with a great machine. We purchased our Deli from Benn and it was a very positive experience and an awesome machine. I would recommend dealing with Benn ( Comox Valley Delica ) to everybody! Here is Benn's email: comoxvalleydelica@shawbiz.ca

Hey Adam, are you ok?

Sorry man, that sucks. Only good thing is you get to find a new toy. From all his posts about comparing the 400 to the 300 sounds like Jfarsang might be looking at offloading his 300 with the pop roof... If you could wait until October I might consider letting mine go as well (the idea of starting a new project is always very tempting! :-D )

Well, hope no one was injured... good luck!
David

Thanks for the Props' James & Nicole. Your vehicle is Niiiice!!
Yes, I have a a 1994 Low roof with 70,000Kms grade 4.0 B. and a 1994 Jasper grade 3.5.C. with 146,000kms and 30.9 BFG All terrain T/A's on it. Really sweet looking. Both have fogs and covers..
They will both have all the maintenance done, (All Rubber hoses, Belts, Timing, tensioners, Water pump, Rad, Bushings, IP Timing, Oils, Filters and block heater...) Not in it for the money but for the fun of importing cool machines. So, prices are great value...and vehicles are mechanically sound....

Shitty deal! Hope you are okay.

There is a green L300 down here in Victoria. I drive by it everyday, looks great on the outside.

Not sure on the dealer, but we use the same mechanic. They are located right beside the Save-On-Foods arena.

Hope ICBC doesn't dick you around too much.

Now that you've gained my attention, how is this happening? Overloaded? Too much weight on the tongue? Speed? I do a fair amount of trailering and have never felt like I was going to lose it.

Adam, hope you're okay and not too shaken up about the experience.

Hi Adam, hope the replay pictures inside your head are calming down, glad you're safe.

I echo Mararmeisto's question, what happened with the towing. We also tow boats, and carry canoes and kayaks on the roof, always felt very stable. What brand of hitch do you have, were you on an offset camber curve in the road?

Has Glen of CCautos seen yr deli to determine if it should be a write off, he has great knowledge.

Take Good Care, PM us if we can help on the mainland side (of course you know our house is available to stay over and we can pick you up in horseshoe by ferry). If ICBC writes off, I heard you can go to remove your extras (ie you can remove fancy tires and rims if you put on plain tires and rims to replace), email the group if you need help removing veg tanks etc, I'll help.

Cheers, Christine.

Hey Adam, was your load distributed to the back of the trailer? I've had some sketchy experiences when the trailer is lifting on the back of the vehicle. Makes it too light and leads to bad news, especially if braking downhill on a bend.

Glad you're OK. Awful waste of a nice van though.
