Hello all,
I actually made a similar post here about two years ago and I just want to remind everyone again about what we do and how you can visit Japan on a budget.
I know there are a lot of delica owners out there who are also sports enthusiasts, in particular skiers or boarders but have not yet made it to the powder capital of Japan, that's right Japan. We run a ski lodge in Japan's most famous ski resort, Niseko and also run tours to all the best resorts in Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost island.
Japan, in particular Hokkaido probably has the most consistent powder in the world, in fact the longest dry spell was 10 days this season and that was before the resort actually opened, so you know you're going to get the goods here (yearly avg 15m). You can see a bit of this seasons footage by visiting nimbusindependent.com and click the en route japan webisode or to see some from last year (featuring Canada's own JP Auclair, pick up a copy of "reasons" rom your local ski shop. We've had pro skiers and boarders visit from around the world and they all claim that this place tops thier list of special places... I've been here 11 years. I know it's hard to leave Canada for a ski trip, but why not sell the idea to your boyfriend or girlfriend as a "surf trip" to indo with a "stopover" in Japan?
Summer is just as amazing here as the island turns into a virtual jungle and there are plenty of beaches, lakes and beer gardens to visit as well as mountains to climb ( fun fact; 80% of Japan is mountainous).
If you want to do it on the cheap, we can set you up with a delica (that you could possibly send home after your holiday) and all the camping gear you need so you can do your very own road trip across Japan.
If you just need info, we're happy to help out, just drop us an email.
