If you get this problem... just run your engine for awhile with heater at full HOT to warm all the controls up. Shifter 'safety neutral switch' freezes up and gets stuck. It should free up as soon as temp inside gets better.

Do you have WFS (wet floorpan syndrome)? I'm thinking if you can eliminate the excess moisture from your carpets this wouldn't be as much an issue...
