lets see if you all can finger this one out?

#1 I just put in a new CD deck in the van. I now have no dash lights.
#2 If the van is turned off but the lights are still on, I now have no beeping sound telling me the lights are still on.
#3 If the van is off, and the lights are on, the fan will also work; if I turn the lights out, the fan stops. WTF?

When the Audio Tech put it in, he didn't have a wiring harness so he hard wired it. The old deck has a 5w fuse in the back; I thought it might have something to do with my dash light...WTF?
Anyone have a clue?

- Wiring harness is fully available - get Dodge Colt 1991 harness, mates perfectly.

- There is no ground in the harness - there's a wire that is grounded when the lights are off but is actually a + wire to feed the stereo a signal for dash lights and this is very often mistaken for ground (and causes much electrical havoc) when all you have is a bunch of wires and a multimeter in your hands. The stock units pull ground through the antenna wire, you can connect to that, or best to make a new connection to ground.

How are your daytime running lights connected, is the a DRL module or are the tapped directly into the fuse panel? The stereo install could possibly have completed a circuit on it.

What year is your Delica, becasue the style of lights you have could make a difference?
