Just completed the fabrication of all my brackets to make the WVO kit I bought from Andrew (it comes with mounting hardware and brackets for the Delica). I decided to run the tank from the rear cargo area, so I had to make some rails for the tank to sit on. The tank has a small wedge welded on the underside for the fuel line so it can't sit on the cargo floor. I then made the brackets for the valves to mount on the firewall, next I made some brackets for the 2 micron filter, if the mounting on the housing was to be attatched directly to the firewall it would be really awkward to remove and intall the filter. Andrew's kit is very good quality but the only thing I don't like is the filter and housing design, it is not a spin on so you have to line up a notch, slide the filter up and then pull up s threaded ring to seal it in place. I am thinking of changing it to the Racor model, but we will see how it works out. I have some tie downs I made from flat bar and threaded rod sandwich the tank to the rails. Plumbing and electrical will be tackled in one day so the down time will be minimal. check out some pics:

the one thing that really makes the install of the filter easy is to remember to line the name of the filter up with the center of the housing. In a deli application it won't make a difference as the bracket bolts will need to be loosened in order to remove the filter. You have a heck of a lot more room in you engine bay compared to the deli....The real advantage of the 2 micron filter is how easy they are to get and how inexpensive they are (about 15-20 for a replacement).

I am used to the filter assembly now and I won't be changing it. It was an early observation I made and I don't anticipate any hassle with the current one.

I did all the plumbing this afternoon. Tomorrow the electrical.

That looks great. I am thinking of going the WVO route too. I just need to know more about the availability of the WVO in the LMD and the cost and difficulty of install. I just got my vehicle a couple of weeks ago, so it'll take some time. Are the only things you have to worry about are having vitran hoses? Any other preventative maintenance or wear issues when going to WVO?

I would love to be able to commute to work on WVO.

If you want to use biodiesel (methyl esters, usually made from WVO) you'll want Viton type rubber in your fuel system, but for straight WVO you'll need to install a kit that includes stuff to heat the oil before it goes into the engine (and usually a separate tank, filter, etc), no need to go Viton though.

Nice install, many are envies of all the engine bay room in your Pajero. And the tank sits there like a cool racing fuel cell.

People don't believe mine has driven 1000km, with three tanks underneath; almost made it from Powell River to Bella Coola on one fill (diesel and WVO). Handy isn't it?

Yep I think the Delica is next, and then the Canter.

did you have to add a coolant pump or a smaller fuel pump to the system?

No fuel or coolant pumps needed. The fuel is lifted by the injection pump and the coolant circulates normally just in a bigger loop.

I never did post a picture of the finished product, so here it is. After seeing some of the installs at CVI the other day, even by professionals I couldn't help but think that if anyone wants an install like this then please contact me. The wires are all heat shrunk and wiring loom is used for a professional install.

andrew i am curious to know how much your selling your Hydraforce valves for?

are they the high flow model?
