Hey guys,
I don"t have a delica but have its cousin the pajero. Was wondering how are little 2.5 does on the Coquihalla with all the hills? I always baby her in the city and never get the revs up. Worried I'll have to rev here pretty high just to get up the hills! lol Anyone have any experiences?

I have been over the Coquihalla and the Okanagan Connector in my Delica 6 times in the last month. I drive a manual and can drive up comfortably in 4th so as to keep the rpm's below 3500. I think I dumped it into 3rd for one stretch on 97C. I certainly was not flying up the hills, but my van did a respectable job without overheating or putting the rmps through the roof.

I'm in an automatic - the Coqu was ok for me - she dropped down to 60Km for a stretch after the snowshed till I hit the summit - but didn't take her over 3200 RPM at any time and just took my time. I could keep it at 90-110 most other times....oh yeah - except for that other hill coming out of Merritt on the connecter...that was a bit of a slog as well.
It's just a matter of sitting back and enjoying the view!

This would be one reason why I would take the Crow's Nest... smiles.

I'll find out this weekend. I'm driving up to Rogers Pass and will make my way back through the Kootenays. Based on experience around Vancouver (Gaglardi Way, the Cut), I'll be surprised if I'm going more than about 70 through the snow sheds. I don't know if I'll do Highway 95 via Radium Hot Springs and Invermere, or loop through Alberta (Banff -> Calgary -> Fort MacLeod). Haven't been to Calgary in years, and it could be fun to see some of the wind power stuff around Pincher Creek...
My original plan was to drive up to Inuvik, but the weather has been so awful this "spring" that I've scaled things back.

Since September I've driven Banff-Revelstoke via Rogers Pass multiple times, Banff-Vancouver a couple of times and Banff-San Diego once. Don't think I dropped much below 80 kph due to a hill at any point and the revs never seemed to be an issue.

As expected, Gumdrop maintained about 70 klicks up past the snowsheds. About the same coming through Kootenay Pass this morning. The altimeter is way more interesting when you're driving in mountains.
