Moving Nelly to Ontario

Hi
We are planning to drive back home to Ontario soon.
How many Delis have made that move? Ontario Delica meetings?
And what's to be expected officially? Inspections and such?
I would like to go WVO before the trip.
How do WVO kits do in inspections? Do relocated spare tires need to be fastened in a particular way?
Any other pieces of advice very much appreciated.
thanx

We just did the trip from the Island to Haliburton. Where are you going to be located?

I don't think there have been any Ontario Deli meetings yet, but getting together would be fun. There are definitely some Delis in the GTA.

If you are already BC registered, the Ontario safety inspection is the same as for any other used car. Very straightforward. If you are farther south than us you will need an emissions test too I believe, but my understanding is that passing it is basically not blowing smoke at idle.

Can't help you on WVO unfortunately, we haven't done a conversion yet, and our spare is in the conventional location.

Cruising on the highway was fun for a while, but the Deli really isn't as happy at 120 as at lower speeds. Got about 23mpg (Imperial) at around 115-120, if we slow down to 90 that improved to about 27mpg which is much easier to take.

We ran between 600 and 900km per day, which for an old guy like me was plenty.

100% reliable, only used about half a litre of oil in 7000km between changes.
