Hi, new here and learning about the vehicle from cost to reliability. I am a "resumer" as (apposed to a consumer) and the Delica's look like they last. How are they for towing? I have a light weight 13' fiberglass trillium trailer.

I like the Delica as a tow vehicle, but it doesn't have plenty have high speed with a trailer - put it's hardly a racecar. First we have a 1500kg travel trailer that we only use locally in the backcountry, the Delica would work too hard and go too slow on the highway with that much weight. Our boat weighs in over 600kg (boat, motor, gas) and will drive up that hill on Hwy 24, just when you head west out of Little Fort, and maintains 50 km/h easily. Without the boat the Delica maxs out at 60 km/h on that same hill, and each of the trip on the fishing hwy (24) I'm packing a lot of gear.

A trillium painted to match your Delica would be a nifty set-up. Through family I have access to purchase a 13' trillium very reasonably; do you like yours? Do you know the weight?

It's a late 70's, but has an intact shell and windows, along with newer seats stored elsewhere. And it's been sitting unused for so long that the frame and hitch are quite rusty. It wouldn't take to much to make it usable as a trailer, but would be ideal to put on the bed of a 4x4, quad cab, WVO Mitsubishi Canter. I'll take pictures next month, and if job plans can't fit it into our lifestyle, I'll offer it up here first.

I have a 1976, original avocado green. Using Verte-glass will bring back the original Gel-coat shine and brightness. (painting them can lower their value). So I might have to paint the Delica to match instead!

Ours is only 1400lbs. I can move it by swiveling it around myself.

I like it already even though I take it out for the first time to a Glass Egg Camp out in May. I'll get to see a bunch of others like mine and how they are fixed up. Seems like this Forum does a bit of the same thing.

What ever area your in maybe you could sweet talk (say bribe with dinner, etc) another Delica owner with a hitch to take you and your glass egg for a quick run?
