Another seat belt question regarding the L300

Hello all. I'm working on putting together my list of requirements for a Delica L300 Super Exceed I'll be bringing into the states pretty soon. One requirement I have is a shoulder harness seat belt for the captains chairs. I've read they generally only have lap seat belts, but late 1992 models came with a shoulder harness style. Can someone please confirm this for me? Also, are shoulder harness seatbelts standard in the rear bench seats? If there's a thread that already exists that I couldn't find regarding this information please feel free to post the link here. I'd be greatfull :)

I think they were introduced in mid 1991. I had a 1991 that was early 91 and installed them myself. I bought them from a delica being parted out. The bottom attachment is easy it's the shoulder roof bolt that's a bit of a pain.

Thanks helibrian :)
I appreciate the response. It helps. So you just simply took the seat belt and assembly from a parted out Deli and just installed it into yours? That's awesome :-D

I've read a ton about how when going up hills in a five speed it's best to put it in second gear so the revs stay high. But what about with an automatic? How do you make sure the revs stay high? Hope this isn't a silly question :)

Not a silly question at all! To be honest I haven't run up any major hills as of yet. I've been driving mine pretty normal and when I've had to go up any incline I stay to the right and go at my pace.

If you have an automatic turn overdrive off when you're climbing. I try to keep it around 60km/h uphill and hang with the semi trailers. It keeps my turbo from glowing red hot...

Thank you north54. That's helps. I knew there was a little more to it then just pushing the gas pedal and hope for the best :)
