GLOW PLUGS NOT COMING ON

Hello,
This is my first post. I've had my 1990 L300 for about two years and have put about 30,000 miles on it. It is still a very low mileage Delica.
So, the problem is when I turn the key there is no click. I can crank it for 30 seconds and it will start and run fine, but the glow plugs are definitely not working.
I have been having problems with the glow plugs for a few months now. I was able to get new green top ones from a Mitsubishi dealer here in Seattle. They worked well for a few weeks and now nothing. I'm going to order a new temperature sensor on Monday.

Any ideas? I don't mind throwing money at it. Every new part makes it that much more reliable.

are you getting voltage to your glow plug relay?

No click at all or very long second click ? For unknown (un find) reasons, my second click went from 3-4 seconds to up to 30 seconds for the second click (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17182&p=132076&hili ... ng#p132076). Did change the GP and temp sensor on the front top of the engine and nothing changed...I just wait longer to start it: besides that my Van runs very well.

Keep in touch whenever you find your problem

It could be a number of things, but I'd start with Chuck's suggestion of looking at the relays and power supply to them. Try applying 12V directly to the relay coil terminal- the spade terminal on the right hand relay, the small screw-eye terminal on the left one. If the relays click then you know it's a power supply fault rather than a jammed relay.

Most of the usual faults (temperature sensor, glow plug failure, ECU damage) will still cause the relay to click, just for too long or too short, or rapidly. No click at all is unusual.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will check the power to the relay and if nothing is there I'll try applying power to it.
I'll post my findings.

P.S. is anyone going to the NW OVERLAND RALLY in June? I'll be there, hopefully in the Delica.
