Oily Mess

Replaced the radiator over the weekend and had a chance to look into a oil weep I have had for a while.

This is what I found. to the left of the engine, turbo area.

Any ideas what may be causing this and what route I should take to resolve it?

Thanks.

There are a few places in that area that can leak. The easiest way to find it is to wash and de-grease the area, drive for a bit, and then check it again.

My first suspicion is the short rubber pipe that joins the turbo to the inlet manifold- they get hard with age and don't seal under pressure. If it turns out to be that leaking I'd replace it with a silicone pipe and proper T-bolt clamps.

The gaskets between the intake stub, EGR valve, and intake can also leak, but you don't want to disturb them if they're not leaking.

The pressurised oil feed to the turbo, and the large oil drain underneath, can also leak. If it's the oil feed I'd recommend buying a new pipe and copper washers from Mitsubishi (Pipe MD094735 $12, Washers 2x MF660063 about $1.50ea, Banjo bolt MF650102 $8.50)
