I'm starting this thread to share my experience here in the States of getting my injectors cleaned/rebuilt. As we all know our engines and Delicas in general suffer from a No Shirt, No Shoes, No Domestic production, No SERVICE!

problem. Being in need of an injector rebuild and not able/willing to do my own, I started to try and run down a local(ish) shop that would do it. I've finally found Testmaster in Augusta GA who specialize in all things diesel. Mike at Testmaster said they could do the job and to send them out when ready. Quite a different attitude than i'm used to getting. I plan pulling the injectors and sending them off after our return from Fl at the end of this month. I will be taking pics of the before and after

and blabbing all about my experience here. If anyone else has a shop that does 4D56 injector work in the States, then please let us know. On my end i'm currently seeing 16 to 18 MPG and sincerely hope this changes after the original injectors get refreshed.

16 to 18mpg sounds like you're driving a ford f150!

Check out impex.japan. you can order in OEM injectors for about $400 cdn. That's about the same as a pro rebuild up here. Good luck

I just grabbed
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MITSUBISHI-PAJE ... 2353465440. They are direct match for OEM DN0PDN112. Refurbished (new pintle/nozzles), with pop pressure of around 115bar.
They're in and seem to run good. A little smoky in the morning (snow on the ground). But clean running after.
Cheers,
J

Thanks for the input guy's. yeah, i'm not to far away from the F350 I have in mpg. Something's not right!

I always get over 300 miles to a tank, but fuelly.com says i'm getting 16 to 18 depending on driving. The drive down to Fl will be a different animal being all highway.

Injectors for these old Diesels are actually pretty cheap. For that price i would put new ones in. On the plus side you only need four. I recently put injectors in a Hino engine at C $2000 a piece.

Dang, 2000 is a lot.

I usually would like to buy a new set and build up my old ones as spares, but I feel like you never know what your gonna get from a lot of the sellers i've found so far. Plus finding someone to rebuild them would add to the network of US shops who we can turn to as resources. Of course, it all depends on how much it'll cost to rebuild them.
