So I bought a V6 1998 Delica Chamonix from insurance salvage. Its only got 85000km, and in mint shape, other then front end damage from hitting a deer.
After driving it home 160km without issue, It sat for a few weeks, and now I started it up and tested the 4x4 around the family acreage, and it's now steaming considerably, so my guess is the head gasket is shot.

Rather then fix the head gasket on an engine I don't really want, I'd like to find a Diesel halfcut with an intact front end so I can repair the damaged parts and have the engine I want.

I'd also like the rear axle so can maintain the proper gear ratio, and swap the current V6 9 inch diff into my S1 diesel, since they share ratios.

well I'm not having much luck.

but seeing as I've already got a perfectly good S1 diesel and transmission, and an S2 with much lower km in excellent overall shape, maybe I'll do that swap sinstead
