stronger lift arms?

Has anyone put stronger hydraulic lift arms on their tailgate? I find mine don't keep the door open when it's cold. AND, I was thinking of mounting my spare to the back, jeep style. I did a search and only found the 6" lift mod, which I have done already.

Get them regassed. In the Lower Mainland there's a place called "Strutwise" (amongst others), not sure if they have a shop in Manitoba but I'd imagine there must be a shop there that deals with struts.
