So yesterday morning my right front window would not go up ten minutes after i put it down (checking switches on both drivers and passengers doors). Resolved itself in an hour

In the afternoon, my drivers side window wouldn't go up for about ten minutes. Also resolved itself.

In the evening the turn signal switch stopped working however high/low switch is fine and 4-way flashers are working fine.

What the hell is going on here?! I haven't dove into the flashers issue yet as im still trying to figure out what caused everything before that... Ideas ?

Thanks and happy Wednesday.

-Chris.

The L400 has a safety feature built into the power windows that activates when something interupts the closing cycle....like a hand, a childs head or pet. Too much resistance and the window drops.

I suspect the system might be acting up due to dry or lack of lube in the drive and linkage. Its a common issue. The delay you are experiencing does occur but it seems to last 2-5 mins in my case....its a preventive feature so a kid/pet can back out of the situation on their own and not get choked. My driver's window does the same thing in -15c or lower temps...real PITA after getting the morning Timmies! Gotta wait about 5-min for the reset if the window goes all the way down in a false jam but its never been longer than 5-mins.

Open the door panels and lube the drives and linkage with lithium grease...not WD-40 or any other penetrating type fluids as these just dry out and get sticky.

There is another possibility: If you have a key fob remote. Holding down the unlock button for a few extra seconds will cause both power windows to go down (how many of you knew this little trick?). The remote entry system might be misbehaving but there is little to no info on how often this fails and what the causes are. Lube is cheap.....try that first.

As for your signal lights...check the signal flasher relay...its probably toast. Cajun tire $5 fix. If you tow a trailer get the heavy duty model. Your hazards work because its a different circuit that provides constant power.
