Silly question about the bumper.
So, when I was buying my Delica, I talked then-owner into getting this thingy offroad. He went ambitiously in the area beside the river and then it turned out that he's not that skilled in offroad driving, so he backed over a tree stump and damaged front bumper.
I was able to haggle down the price because of it
however, I wonder how exactly bumper is mounted. It's obvious that small clip from underside is missing, but I think something else broke down. Any idea if I can take bumper off at the parking lot?

Re: Silly question about the bumper.
That's the one piece plastic bumper- most 4WD Delicas have the steel bumper with plastic trim panels that cover that particular area, so you might not get too many answers. I wonder if the Vanwagon guys would have more experience with this style of bumper?

Re: Silly question about the bumper.
Although most of the members of Delica Canada have the Japanese "Bambi Bar" front bumpers, there are a few Euro members whom have your style of bumper and some have done extensive work on them and posted photo essays in Member Rides.
Steinbruchsoldat comes to mind, he hasn't been here for a while but he did a seven page rebuild thread in Member Rides called "German 1989 L300 build". L300Foca, from Bosnia has a Face Book link in Member Rides. Member Rides would be a good place to start.
Another place to look would be the Delica FAQ Section, you can find it in the board index. In there is a thread called "Useful Links for Vehicle Part Identification Purposes." There is a recently entered post that links to a parts list that has exploded diagrams for ordering purposes but they are also a quick reference to how things generally fit together. The languages used are Russian and English, you may want to have Google Translate on hand when you go there. This tool will also show you the potentially missing parts for your bumper.

Re: Silly question about the bumper.
Thanks for the pointers. There is a *lot* of different bumper version, it seems, even all-plastic ones. For example, Steinbuchsoldat's ride has integrated headlights and blinkers on the main body, while mine has front blinkers built into.
Looking at exploded diagrams also cleared the situation. A little. :)
I visited auto parts shop to buy new retention clip, and they only sold those in 10-packs. They were cheap, so I bought the whole pack and used one to held the bumper in place as is. Now it's at least looking OK visually, and one of those days (preferably, when it will stop raining) I'll get to taking whole bumper off and fixing it properly.
