I dunno what this is. But it's crazy. Too bad that last one wasn't a Delica.

I can't help but think that there must be hours and hours of similar footage where people weren't so lucky. Cool find though.

Sure, but what makes it so interesting is how some folks escaped when by all accounts they should be in the hospital or worse, especially the guys on the bikes. But what struck me was how almost all of those accidents were - as cops know all too well - obvious blunders and failing to abide by the rules of the road. And it's a stark reminder how a split second of inattention can result in massively disproportionate consequences and tragedy. And what is with the dude on the bike that pulls in front of a truck -while he's looking at it? Suicide attempt?

You said it! That's the unromantic truth of most tragedy.

As for all the Russian clips - I have heard they are a nation obsessed with dash-cams. That's where a lot of the footage of the meteor came from. Such footage could be invaluable - you can bet a lot of those who "walked away" from those accidents in the videos suffered serious injury and consequences.

I'm amazed by how lots of the pedestrians that have "Close Ones" just keep walking away like it's no big deal. Or the drivers that just keep bootin' it after they caused something stupid.

Could be a "faith" thing ~ not their time. Or maybe they had more important things on their minds! ZOMBIES! Like filming the other things on their I-Phones.

Falco.

P.S.: I moved this thread to "On The Web".

jeeeze, it just dawned on my that i WAS one of those lucky (well sorta unlucky ones) one's when my motorcycle tboned a minivan in a freak accident. broke everything (neck to foot), but i'm here today breathing, in one piece, many scars, and blessings in my life. man, life's short and so precious!
