Mechanic in Osoyoos

I have (had) a '93 L300 that my friends took out this week and successfully overheated it, driving it on hot for way to long. I can share the story but in the short term am wondering if anyone has dealt with a mechanic in the Osoyoos area?? Hoping to have someone take a look at it before deciding whether or not I need to go out there myself or just have it shipped back to Vancouver to scrap it.

Not helpful in who to recommend but do not take it to Saybian Automotive in Oliver. Family relations to this mechanic/car dealer was one of the primary CVSE officers who bullied RHD owners and any shops in the Okanagan that would work on them in the dark days of 2005/2006. Something stinks and it isn't the cheese.

Dean's Garage had a look at it, it's toast with a cracked head. His buddy's going to truck it back to Vancouver for me for $350. Smokin' deal! I ought to be able to get a few bucks for the brand new tires I put on it. Might cover most of the towing fees anyhow. A friend of mine mentioned Valley West Automotive in Summerland if any one ever ends up there in need.

I'm back to square one with no van & no money. Life.

they'll do what they can, we're all pretty broke right now. i'll have a better idea what to do next once i get it back. considering all the electrical work that needs done and the creeping rust, i think i might be better off parting it out. my girlfriend however, trooper that she is, believes it can be revived...
