Just started an oil change, noticed that the new Sure Filter SFO 8532 that CVI sold me does not seem to screw onto my thread.
So I put the old filter back on. Any problem running with the old filter and new oil?

You should be fine to filler up and then put a filter on later

I have heard alot of people go twice on a filter before. It is just personal prefference to change it every time. I just like to start completely fresh every oil change. Just sent you a PM.

The translation I have of the sticker on the underside of the hood says oil every 5000 km otherwise 6 months and filter every 10,000 km otherwise 12 months.

Anyone else having issues with this filter? I just picked up 3 from CVI, but haven't tried one on my L400 yet.

bought mine from maxoverdrive, same as genuine filter, works like a charm. if it is not the right thread , dont force it.

It's easy to put it on on a slight angle and the thread will seem wrong. It took me 4 tries to get mine lined up last time, I was starting to get worried.

I'd contact CVI for a refund or exchange of it doesn't fit. I have one on from my last oil change in May. No issues whatsoever. SFO filters are from Mardy not Max Overdrive? Correct?

No Fuso dealers in BC?
As of Feb 23, 2012: Oil Filter: ME013343. In stock, $24.76 out the door. <- Ontario price from my local fuso dealer.

Good to know - thanks.
By the time I'm checking the thread on a new filter, I'm usually on my back reaching under the van with the filter full of fresh oil - not when I'd like to discover it doesn't fit!

hi, this SFO 8532 fits very good.
try to see if you angle it wrong. now there is 2 type.for 4m40 engine.
sometime you angle it wrong. if for pajero 4m40 its a diff filter.
but this filter fits direct never fail been using this type for the past 2 years now not even a single failure or not fit.
pass US north american strict quality control.
this filter warranty me very good. even have back up 2 million insurance on engine failure if this filter fail. other filter dont offer this. they supply most of taxi, govt vehicle, dealers all over united states.
result is very good performance.
if you have problem which you think. just give it back to cvi and for sure they replace this for you.
as per tonyca this filter is fine for your delica spacegear. no problem with this.
you can contact me cvi or butch and they will help you.
i can also help you or replace with this no question ask.
cheers;
Mardy
