Was looking into getting a trailer for family camping trips. Want to know what other Pajero owners have towed and their experiences. Good/Bad. I'm finding so many different tow capacity ratings/weights online and would like to hear from you. I currently have a CURT bolt on hitch. Just want to know what my Pajero is capable of and of course I don't want to work her to death. She has a 4D56T Turbo Intercooler Diesel. Any input would be greatly appreciated

My Pajero is a 2.8 so my experience will be different from your but I tow up to 4500 lbs on the weekends in the summer for camping. No issues whatsoever. Had other issues with the vehicle related to useless mechanics but none as a result of towing. No speed demon on the hills, but she runs cool and EGT's are reasonable. A weight distribution hitch / sway control are a must. I am hoping for a trip to Ontario at summers end - finances permitting.
