They are out of the country on vacation and i think we are just having to wait until they get back to get our vehicles !!!!! I am dying to see my new van! I am getting tired of looking at the 2 fuzzy auction pictures !!!

They have my cash too ! I don't think anything underhanded is going on. I just wish they had said.... "we are going to be out of the country for a month and a half ,so you won't be geting your vehicle for a while." I think that would have been a little better....

I tried to deal with JDM but couldn't even get an initial response so I went with someone else. I hope all works out for you guys. I'm sure it will, but kind of a pain to have to be waiting just because there isn't anyone taking care of your deal.

JDM was very good with me and went above and beyond to stand behind their product, I was quite impressed...
now for the downside... the delays... patience is a virtue, and the import process requires it... Although they were great to deal with, always honest, and stood behind the vehicle, there were still many delays, I didn't pick up my vehicle until November... I paid for it in August...

I still recommend JDM though, simply because they were very responsive, always honest, and worked to make things right.

Hey I have a Delica which I purchased over 3 months ago and it just recently got shipped. It takes time for these vehicles to get here when importing is so popular now, so I wouldn't worry too much if you have to wait a long time. It is definately frustrating, but I'm pretty sure JDM and other legitimate dealers are not trying to scam anyone. I just figure that now I have had an extra 4 months to save up for some sweet additions to my Deli.
peace!

Hi Guys,

I am here and we haven't run off with anyone's money!!! I am so sorry for all the delays but a large part of it is simply beyond our control, we have 35 trucks currently sitting in japan and having a complete mare trying to get them across!!

We have now contracted a new shipping agent to shift them which is working well, but you have to understand the logistics involved of trying to shift these vehicles across to a different shipping yard then packing them in containers organizing to re-direct all the paperwork to another agent, and then get them booked and onto a ship, it's a logistical nightmare!!!

Lou, I should have the booking confirmation in the next few days, as we discussed late last week, as soon as I have it will email, it through to you.

Fish slapper, I am not sure of your real name, but if you let me know I will update you as soon as possible.

Re our whereabouts in the world, currently I am in New Zealand, we split our time between the two countries, (we have similar business in both countries) however, we have a full time staff in Canada, and are open 5 days a week, feel free to drop down and have a talk with John.

One last thing please if you are trying to contact us, shoot us an email first, when we are in NZ with time zones and different days it's gets really tough to get calls through, we have an answering service in Canada that forwards messages on to us, but sometime even those don't make it through!!

My email details are at the bottom of this post.

Cheers

James

I very seldom recommend other importers but James is one of the very few i recommend. I have been impressed with my conversations with him.

Not only is he a decent importer but he also is active in the fight with TC, ICBC and CCMTA. that is no little stand he is taking, i can not say this about many other importers. he deserves our support.

shipping is a PITA...

I recently purchased a delica from them. James and his father were very good at bringing the vehicle to the ferry terminal for me to pick up, and stuck around while I got in insured. When I had a problem with the motor mounts James shipped them over free of charge. Had them installed here in Victoria and now the van runs like a dream.
