Hello everyone,

Does someone have pictures of the interior in a sleeping set up mode... ? With the seat fold down ?
A few people mentionned they were sleeping in their Delica ? Is it comfortable or ..... not so comfortable ?

Also, did anyone modified the interior to fit a table and cooler... like in a VW West... ?

If so, .. please post some pictures, I'm curious to see the interior environment !

i don't think i have any pictures, but I bought an inflatable mattress and a rechargable pump. Full sized air matress fits perfectly over the seats folded down... its comfy, warm, dry. pretty straightforward.

I know some delis came with a makeshift looking table that was a factory option, but its kinda ghetto. if you really want to have a table in it and stuff you will probably only be able to sleep one, or at least have to do some adjusting before sleep time.

The bench middle seems the better for sleeping (not to be a dick)

the 7 seater is fine for a night or 2, but either will need something more if you plan to spend much time sleeping in it.
the pictures aren't bad, but turn the middle row seats around so that the head is towards the front of the vehicle, then you basically sit in those seats as you would normally but reclined fully with your feet up on the rear bench, it's actually quite comfortable as long as you sleep on your back or side (front sleepers won't be comfortable)
A better option though is to set it up as in the pictures posted above, and then put a queen size air mattress over top of it all, you really can't beat that for comfort!

I've always done as Green 1 states, lay the seats down and put a queen size air mattress over top. Takes about five minutes and is extremely comfortable for two people (did this all summer, well on the good three weekends anyway)!! Seems pretty self-explanatory.

Will throw in my 2 cents, from 2 people with nasty spines. With the rear seats flat and a 1/4" plywood sheet placed on top, then a high quality queen sized, foam bed makes it perfect. Even better, pull out all the back seats and sleep on the floor with tons of room to move around. Open up the moon roof and you'll have standing head room.

We've removed the rear passenger side captain chair. This open space, despite the reduced passenger capacity is very convenient for stuff, for kids, for changing clothes and general lounging around.

Anyway, when camping this summer we put the playpen into this spot (a Graco collapsible model) as a bed for our two year-old. I flipped the bench upright which provided a bit of a sound and light barrier but allowing access the rear hatch if needed.

We pulled the slider shut and he was sealed in. We slept in the tent next to the van, under the tarp canopy, close enough to hear any distress, but not so close as to be bothered by every sqeak, squawk and snore the little ankle-biter makes throughout the night. Alternately, the playpen will fit behind the bench seat when the seat is in full forward position.

It would be easy enough to sleep one adult as well as the playpen if desired.

Food for thought:

I saw some pix somewhere (I think on the UK site) - set up for a single person only, but using a cot; really it was more like a stretcher where one end of the rails rested on the rear bench seat and the other end of the rails rested on the engine hump behind the front drivers seat. I think the captain seat was removed, but it could also just be folded flat and the the cot laid overtop like a bridge. I like this because it seems easy to set-up and remove. (I recently saw some cheap camping costs which could be modified to fit).
