Any body got them? Torqued my torsions up and need an alignment to straighten her out again.

Hello there!

My dad owns a 92 pajero and recently took it into a shop to get an alignment as it has a moderate pull to the right. The shop told him that there is no way to align the pajero!
There are no adjustments they could make to alter his suspension... he accepted this and paid them for their time.
Does this sound strange at all???
If he were armed with a list of wheel alignment specs would they have said the same thing?
It sounded very odd to me.
I could get more info about his vehicle if that would help.

That sounds very odd. At the very least they could have done an old-fashioned alignment (aligned the front to match the rear.

The Kal Tire out on Lougheed in Coquitlam has a guy by the name of Owen. He is australian.. he has the specs. They have aligned mine perfectly. He has the codes and it all works on their machine. I belive most Kal Tired can do it correctly. He may not be at that location anymore but call and ask for Owen. Or Volkert on Main and 2nd Kal Tire.

if they give you the option for a Montero (North American) or Pajero (Japanese Domestic), then choose the NA Montero as we drive on the other side of the road/crown.

If you get a Pajero JDM alignment, then you'll pull to the right.

Woukdnt it be better to pull to the right. Ie off the road rather then head on into traffic?

A North American alignment spec (Montero) will have your vehicle driving straight on our roads, not into traffic.

A JDM Japanese alignment spec (Pajero) will have your vehicle driving off the crown and to the right off the road.

A lot of alignment shops with the latest gadgets have both vehicles in their system. The alignment specs are not the same.

The alignment specs posted above are the correct one's for our roads. Doesn't matter if you drive a Montero with the steering wheel on the left or a Pajero with the steering wheel on the right. It's the same vehicle.

So with the above specs printed off, any Kal tire should be able to align the Pajero properly?

Makes total sense to me, but a local tire shop said they COULDN'T align it... This is BS right? Maybe they just have no experience with these vehicles...

a second opinion never hurt tho! I'll remember that it should be called a Montero.

I know there is an older Japanese fellow who works at Toyota in town and drives an older Montero, I could ask him I guess!
