L300 Spiked Hubcap!!

Ok, so its not a REAL spiked hubcap, but its a pretty weird ice(and dirt) formation on my hub from when I was up in the Cariboo a few weeks ago. Driving down hwy 97 between 100 mile house and Clinton. Wondering if anyone has had this on their deli before? It was snow/raining so I think the slush was running off the hub as it was spinning, but was freezing due to the cold air temperature creating the spiral icicle shape. Pretty crazy though....

Like Wow.... Genuine Urchins....Are those OEM?
I, too, have never seen that before. Any idea how that happened? What did you drive through?
