L300 smokey on startup and rough idles for a few minutes.

I have brand new L300, only
1400 km done.
Every morning on the first start up of my Mitsubishi L300 there is lot of blue smoke and the van rough idles for a couple of minutes. After engine heats up , it works fine. But whenever engine is cold (like 25 Celsius) engine is not stable. Also there is no starting problem and Fuel economy also good.
What may be the reason for this.
Please help me.

Few days ago, I went to Mitsubishi Service Centre, and told them about my problem.
Then they cleaned injectors and re corrected the valve tappet clearance and told me problem is fixed.
But today I noticed that, problem still remains. Also I forgot to tell you that a black liquid comes out(a little) from exhaust pipe(seems to be water, not sure). It remains also.
what kind of a problem that can be.
P.S: It has a Diesel engine

Rev it higher at start-up. Around 1000 RPM and it should sound much better.
The Injectors could cause this problem, glow plugs, temperature sensor. There are many reasons that a start-up would sound like this (mine has for the last year)
If you take it to a good shop they might be able to narrow it down a bit further but the only sure fire way I've heard of for curing this problem is to replace each of the components I listed above. I've also found that using a manual glow plug system I'm able to hold the glow plugs on when it's 'chugging' a bit too much and that will help to get it running normally faster. In the winter a good winter diesel additive will really help as well.

Rhythmic missing like that - same cylinder(s) each engine revolution, I'd put my money on glowplug(s).

Pretty sure the guy doesn't need winter diesel in Sri Lanka. Lol

That is semi-normal. At least for mine. As per Nxski - once fired up give it a bit of gas to raise the revs. As a coach driver (re: bus) I'm a big fan of letting diesels warm up when cold. 3-5min in warm weather, longer in the Great White North.
If it's running fine after that I wouldn't worry too much. You may want to consider running a diesel additive in the fuel every now and then.

What's the amperage of your battery(ies) like? How new are your batteries? How dirty are the battery terminals?
Have you drained the water trap in the fuel filter lately? When was the last time it was changed?
Just a few thoughts... smiles.

As I said above, this is a new vehicle(manufactured in 2011). only 600km driven. So I think, no need to check battery or fuel filter. I haven't complain to local Mitsubishi dealer about this problem yet. can't believe a problem like this in a new vehicle.
any way thanks for trying to help me.
P.S.
sorry about my English.

Sorry, I was assuming it was new to you and not actually NEW. In that case it should be under warranty no!?

Hey Gura, நீங்கள் எப்படி இருக்கிறீர்கள்? (I hope I got that right)
Something you must remember about Delicas and Canada ~ we don't get them until they are 15 years old. A brand new Delica to us is one that has only just turned 15 years of age. In fact, Mitsubishi Canada don't recognize Delicas as one of their vehicles and don't want to help us, probably because they have way too much money to start with and pick and choose which moneys they want. That is why Delica.ca exists.
What is the warranty like in Sri Lanka? What is the weather like in Sri Lanka? Even new batteries can develop a condensation barrier on the terminals. Going by the video you posted it strikes me that the glow plugs are not warming the cylinders sufficiently for whatever reason. I feel that checking for simple things first, like condensation on the terminals, is better than ripping apart the glow system.
Is there a Mitsubishi Sri Lanka? Have you taken your wagon to them? Would like to hear the diagnosis for this... smiles.
Good luck!
Falco.

I'm fine.............and think, you are also fine....
And also I want to tell that I'm Sinhalese ....In sinhala it will be "ඔයාට කොහොමද?"......

......anyway it doesn't matter.
Got the reason, why delica.ca exists. It is a very good work.
Talking about warranty, they give two years or 50000km (whichever coming first) warranty period. Temperature in here is between 25-35 Celsius. I also checked battery and battery terminals. It is fine. As you said I also think this problem might be caused by one or two glow plug(s).
So I'm planing to go to local Mitsubishi service shop soon.
I will tell the diagnosis for this after that.
Thanks..........
P.S. Again sorry about my English......
