green deli, looked like the deli was cut off by someone and went off the edge. I hope whoever it was is alright.

I was just talking to the owner. Everyone is fine, but they were lucky that their kids were not in the very back. Apparently the rear caved in on the back seat. He is bringing in pictures and may post them here.

Around town, I drive like a little old lady. We know what Delicas are like. 8-)

On the highway, I drive like a Greyhound bus driver. Delicas respond to a smooth but firm, light touch.

Either way, it's just not worth it to screw around. If people are really that desperate to get to the red light before I do, they are welcome to do so. The frantic impatience and appalling road manners of drivers around here cause far more accidents than the tiny minority of RHD cars.

His trailer was loaded poorly causing the back end to lift off of the ground. The resulting fish-tail sent him into the ditch at around 50 km/h.

Has anyone else rolled their Deli? I am a little concerned with the damage that was sustained over the back seats. I have 2 toddlers riding in the back and if it is an issue, I will have to rig up something asap for the center seats.

Any luck getting pictures of the vehicle?

I'm quite curious about the damage to the rear end, most (all) delica rolls I've seen pictures of in the past have left the passenger compartment largely intact, so it would be interesting to see this one.

It is also important to note, that just because it LOOKS awful doesn't necessarily mean it actually is, I've seen many pictures of vehicles that were crushed beyond belief where the occupants walked away, and conversely ones that appear to have minimal damage where people have died.

I would also be interested in any information possible about the crash, would be nice to know what the police and insurance had to say... (I am also asking this on behalf of IVOAC as there is a fear that Transport Canada and ICBC will try to use these sorts of events to further their goals against imported vehicles, despite the fact that this is obviously not the fault of the vehicle being a JDM, and the very fact that there were no serious injuries speaks well for the safety of the Delica)
