Okay, I'm sorry... I forgot to bring stickers.
Or do you mean CC Auto stickers?

I meant ccautos stickers. Would love to have a deli-tat on the bus that recognises Vancouver Island's own delica specialists

Thank you to all forum members for making the trip to the 1st Annual Delica meet at CCAutos. Thank you Glen for asking Rocky Mountain Imports to be present for parts support and to answer any parts related questions. It was great to see familiar faces from the mainland and new faces from the island.
I would like to thank Glen and his family for putting on this event, I know it was a tremendous amount of work to organise. It was very generous of you to give up a couple weekends and to share your extensive knowledge of Delicas with us. The props Glen used were great for allowing owners to understand why proper maintenance of their van is crucial (cooling systems and timing components especially). The props also showed the typical wear and tear items of a 15yr old Delica and why they need to be replaced. We all came away from this meet with more knowledge about Delicas and how and why they should be maintained.
The test drive sessions in the afternoon were entertaining. The gas Delica sure is a different van from the diesel ones. Thank you to delicat and Mararmeisto for returning my Pulsar in one piece so I could get home and to delicat fpr not killing me in Glen's Aristo. Yeah Glen, we got a thrash in there on the Aristo, a little pay back for your thrash in my GTR. You are correct Glen, your Aristo does go good.
Congratulations to the door prize winners.
Filter kit provided by Rocky Mountain Imports was won by TardiDeli. Sorry Jay, it was Christine who won.
Filter kit provided by CC Autos was won by FalcoColumbarius. Falco, you can thank Mararmeisto, he chose your name as winner.
Can't wait until next year.

I like the idea of the "hell" stickers.

The tee shirts are being screened and will be available shortly, selling at cost. PM me with pre orders ~ they will be as I described them at the meet.

I didn't overhear your description. Would you post a picture of said t-shirt?

Sure, when I get them from the silk screeners. In the meantime I will give you the description: Black tee shirts; Mitsumaple in white and red surrounded by the slogan "If I'm going to Hell, I'm going in a Delica" (in Gill Sans Bold); underneath will be the URL (in Impact).
I will post pictures as soon as they are delivered... smiles.

How about putting another logo or a sign on the back? Something like 'Delica Special Forces'

Smiles... That is the next project. Right now I can only front the cash for the front of the shirt, as it were. When we get to the special forces, Profister..... it will be the Skull & Treads, to be sure.
By the way, now we are on the topic: I've worked it out and it will be $11.30 + shipping & handling There will be a thread for this.
Just reading though this thread.... I see I won something? Kewl....

man, it sounds like the 16th was 'the day' to go to Glen's (I went on the 9th on the 'Infernal Machine', got rained on from Ladysmith to Langford!)
That being said, let see some pics!!

konadog wrote:Damn, not going to make it! Still on the road (Montana). At least two more days of traveling left. Was really looking forward to it too.
Well, that is too bad. Driving your delica in Montana a headin' home is pretty cool though... We'll take lots of pictures and post a good rundown for you and the others that can't get there - See ya at the next meet then. Enjoy the rest of your journey

Rest of the journey was good, but 44 degrees hot. It was the cause of the delay that made me miss this cool meet that sucked. Some troglodyte (oops! Sorry ,Konadog, forgot to whom I was responding) I mean Neanderthal US border agent refused entry to the Delica in Detroilet and we lost time going back around the lakes. I'll post more details and tips to lessen one's chances of having this happen when I clarify some responses I got from Wash. D.C. on the matter.
Nice pics - looks like I missed a good one.

Ouch! Will be watching for your more detailed post on that!- Doesn't surprise me though; boarder crossings (esp. into the US, it seems

) are often surreal, scary places. The trip around the lakes while long, and what, two days more, sure is a nice run. Along the north shore of Superior - WOW! Hope the AC was working... Sorry you missed the event, but, happily there is the 2nd annual CCautos Day to look forward to
