You don't need this kit for biodiesel, it's mainly for WVO (deep fried veggie oil filtered down)...
Lots of info on the WVO forum.
Cheers

yes, I have 3 tanks all welded up and ready to go. Just waiting on the valves to come up from Oregon and then I will be able to do the first install this week/weekend. Depending on if you want the instructions the kits will be ready on monday (fingers crossed). It will take me a day or two to write up the instructional article and get copies made so mid next week is the goal.
also on my tank that I run I use a tube sight to see the fuel level (to in cab gauge). Are people wanting an in cab gauge/sender unit in the tank as it would add about $100-140 to the price.
Regardless I will add the visual sight to the tanks as it makes filling the tank very easy, no guessing where the oil level is...
How many people are interested vs. wanting a kit?
Andrew

I'm interested in a non-heated version of the tank with the mounting hardware. What is the capacity and cost for them?

With the price of fuel going up, I want a kit, so put my name down for one!

(heated tank with all the bells and accordions) (I've even convinced my ex-wife to convert her Jetta TDi, so we can split the cost of a filter station.)

so with the non heated system are you only going to rely on a vegtherm to heat the WVO????
not recommending this...
will you need any 3/4" heater hose with the 'non-heated' kit?
tank is 20 gallons, give or take a few liters.

I would recommend doing more research before you convert the TDi, very mixed reviews... some people have been pitting their engines on the TDi's. It would be a shame. Just a heads up.
Josh.

agreed, the I.P operates at around 15,000psi versus 1,500 psi in our little japanese motors...
More care and attention is required to run a TDI on WVO. Cleaning injectors is a must every time you change the fuel filter. It can be as easily as filling the new filter with a diesel injector cleaner product but still needs to be done.
i'll work out the prices and post up in a bit.

not sure about Adam but I'm using a single tank system that doesn't require heating, I'm just looking at this tank as I want to add a second tank for more range, well I'm also wanting to do the 2.5" exhaust out the side so I can mount a 3rd tank at some point too. I would rather have extra tanks slung low (not too low!!:)) and not eating up cargo space with containers when I need it the most (ie long trips).

I'm using a VegTherm Mega (12V), the VegMax filter (coolant heated) and a HotFox in a small surge tank. I've been running my WVO system since Aug '07 (20,000 km) with just the VegTherm and the VegMax, haven't had the chance to install the HotFox and surge tank yet. No problems so far, just had it into CC Auto for a check up and it got a clean bill of health.
The tank I'm using right now is not heated and I'm using a Posi-Flo aux. fuel pump from NAPA to help with cold transfer of the WVO through 3/8" hose. I wouldn't need any heater hose, just the tank, filler assemble and the mounting hardware. What is your concern about using a non-heated tank?

The only thing that I was worried about was pulling cold WVO through the lines with your I.P but you have an additional fuel pump which solves this potential issue.
kits are as follows:
Deluxe Delikit - $1200
- 3 port hydraforce valves
- hardware
- vegtherm std.
- aluminum 20 gallon fuel cell w/ filler sight and sender unit/cab fuel level gauge
- all hoses/fittings
- filter head with filter
- internally heated tank
- brackets for mounting tank, valves, filter
- electrical supplies (relays, wiring, switches)
- full colour instructional book
Standard DeliKit - $1100
- 3 port hydraforce valves
- hardware
- vegtherm std.
- aluminum 20 gallon fuel cell w/ filler sight
- all hoses/fittings
- filter head with filter
- internally heated tank
- brackets for mounting tank, valves, filter
- electrical supplies (relays, wiring, switches)
- full colour instructional book
DeliTank - $600
- 20 gallon aluminum fuel cell w/ filler sight
- brackets for bolt in tank mounting
- fittings for optional heater core addition
prices are as is, no tax yet!
I have yet to come up with the filler assembly, I might be leaving that to the customer as I am certain that everyone is going to prefer something different.
Thoughts?
