Jfarsangs recent post made me wonder... Are you going to be putting an extra gas tank in your beast? I assume it will be a bit more thirsty than the average Delica and we can't go too far on a tank of gas as it is.

That's why I use diesel. I go farther.

Diesel is a gas / fuel but 'gasoline' is not the same as Diesel. Therefor when I go across the border and say I'm going for gas to shorten the conversation I would be correct despite the fact that some of the border guards like to quibble with me.
In any event, if we are to use exact terminology should we not say 'gasoline', 'petrol' or 'petrodiesel'? In my opinion gas is too general of a term and it is never clear what we're talking about. I could tell the border guard that I'm going to pick up 'gas' come back with a gas fuelled bomb and I would never have told a lie (however I do understand that it would still be illegal, this is just a hypothetical).

Yup, I plan to at the minimum double the gas/diesel capacity.
On another front, I just found out that the SAS will be easier than I thought, (now planning to do it myself) and the diesel mechanic should be looking at the truck (Rain permitting) tomorrow. So with a little luck we're back to tooling around in Stretch tomorrow.

Think it is in the head either at the front or side above the injector pump..
Should see the sensor screwed into the head with room for a single wire to plug in. (careful running a hot motor without the sensor hooked up as it will let the glow plugs run a cold cycle).
Good to hear it runs!!!!

One plug is for the ECU and the other plug is for the water temp.

you have coolant in the head right? I would pull the sensor if not sure to make sure it is in coolant.
what was wrong with it after you got it running was it dirty injectors?
