Does it rattle when the clutch pedal is pressed down?

Rattles when the clutch is not pressed.

Push the clutch in and rattle goes away.
Im thinking the throw bearing or whatever its called

Too bad, you'll have drop the transmission out again.
Did you have any difficulty engaging the throw out bearing to the fork with the spring clips when you had it out? That may be the noise.

No, everything went pretty smooth.
Im wondering how long, or how much I should
drive it till I have it done.
That's always the question.

I'm new in Delica Canada, perhaps the newest in the club and this is my debut post.

I own an L300 P25W with a 4D56T engine and had similar alternator woes. Per experience, the alt warning does NOT light up each time something goes wrong with the system.

For example, it may get activated (together with the ATF warning) when:
1) The fan belts slip or break;
2) The alternator carbon brush wears out;
3) The alternator diode gets shorted; and/or
4) The rotor gets busted

but NOT when charging problems are caused by poor connections, i.e. loose or dirty (+) and/or (-) battery and/or alternator cables.

To make sure I do not get into the same predicament again, I had a voltmeter installed like my auto electrician suggested. The 2-inch diameter gauge fits well with the the other dashboard instrumentation. Got it done cheap too...Phil Pesos 800.00 for labor and materials. Most importantly however, with this instrument I am now able to monitor the voltage rating and charging rate.

When the voltage falls below 12V, I do not shut my engine off until I reach my auto electrician's shop. There, he checks the battery and alternator cables first before taking a look at the alternator assembly.
