When I first installed the gauge it would read between 700-900 F between 80 to 100 on flat ground. After I had a Delica tune it dropped about 50 - 100 F. The problem I had was hills and even after the Delica tune I could reach 1200 F if I kept it floored and speed reduced to 85 in overdrive. Since then I've upped the boost to the 15 to 18 range which reduced the EGT as well as added a 2.5" exhaust and a 2.5" cold air intake. Now where I used to go 85 @ 1200 F I can go 95 to 100 @ less than 1000 F in overdrive. My gauge reads is analog add reads from 200 to 1600 F.
I'm not sure if this answers your question.

800 sounds about right to me.patty wrote:as for pyrometer temperature readings, when driving 80 km/hr it reads at around 800 f. my probe is installed post turbo in the same location as irp374, seen here.

i thought this was normal untill i came across a thread that said post turbo readings should only be 400 f. so i just wanted to double check that my reading is normal.
