Mine bolted up ok to the 94 SWB L400 PE8W, there were two bolts however that did not go in. The two ones that go up vertically into the frame (and guess after I place a nut on the inside of the frame) did not fit through the frame holes, the holes were about 0.5" out, so to make them fit would require cutting the into frame or enlarging the steel holes. This is opposed to the 4 horizontal bolts, those bolts are in use right now are pretty heavy duty, large size, right through the frame, so I am not worried.
But when time permits will have to see what I can figure out for those other 2. I was worried initially before seeing the hitch about strength, but after bolting it up, I am fairly confident the frame will give way before the steel on the hitch does, which is good and bad, but I would rather have a stronger hitch then one that is designed to break away if overloaded.
I think under those circumstances (enough to break frame/hitch) the L400 would be more then bottom'd out, I can't forsee any issue with just 500lbs of tonque weight structurally (class 3 rating), just the suspension will have to be beefed up to support it.

Hey Madmazda!
I just had mine installed... was done by a shop as part of my repair from being rear-ended. The shop didn't mention any difficulties with the install like misaligned holes. Looks pretty clean when done and is as sturdy as needs be. If you happen to get down to the SW, feel free to drop by and have a peek or you can have a look at the next adventure... soon to be planned...
I was back at my cabin over Easter and towed my utility trailer all the way back with no issues.
Cheers!
Ian
